No Cook Play Dough

Found this recipe online in the comments section of this Instructables post.  This play dough was not only really easy to make but also really easy for Scarlet to use!

3 cups flour

1/3 cup salt  (1 1/2 cup elsewhere!)

2 tsp oil

1 cup water

7 drops food coloring (to taste)

Mix dry ingredients with oil.  Add food coloring to water and mix together.  Add water to flour/salt/oil mixture slowly~about 1/4 cup at a time and mix together with a spoon.  Once you’ve added all the water, knead the dough with your hands.

I made a half recipe which was a good amount for a single session.  The final product felt like bread dough but not nearly as sticky.  It was perfect for play dough!!!

Now on to finding a recipe for salt clay (check recipe #3 here) which can be baked and preserved … as in children’s handprints and Christmas ornaments!?!

How about these edible fun doughs … Peanut Butter and Honey Edible Fundough?!?

1 c peanut butter

1 c honey

2 c powdered milk 

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Add more powdered milk if necessary to make a workable dough. Form the dough into balls and other shapes.

Tuesday Team Championship

My Tuesday golf group played a “Team Championship” of sorts which I had created for the play of the day.  My team won the Fairways and Greens event which happened to provide a most memorable moment for our 4some.  After our teammate Betty sank a one putt on the 4th green, we could be heard cheering whilst picking up our balls and/or markers.  And then Betty comments “And I did it all by myself!”  

OOPS … we had forgotten that we HAD to take Betty’s 3 shots to the green for the Fairways and could NOT use her one putt on the green!?!  YOU NEVER SAW 3 LADIES GO IN REVERSE SO FAST IN YOUR LIFE!  It was rather amusing and probably one of those moments where you had to be there!!!

The other team won the Net 6s event which brought us to the Relay competition all tied.  In the end, it came down to the final hole where we somehow managed to limp our way home.  Check out Paula’s chip in the photo.  If you want to know the result, just note how Betty and Biddy are laughing at the right in the photo.

We wound up halving the Relay event and the team championship as a result.  A glorious time was had by all!!!
