SNOW! Need I say more?!?

On Tuesday, we did snow play in about 2′ feet of snow at 6500′ in the mountains east of Redlands. This is left over from a really big storm we had come through last week. Yesterday, we went to the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park about 25 miles NE of San Diego. Today, Susan & Missy have gone shopping at the outlet mall, while Peter & Aaron have spent a couple of hours asleep in the hammock in the back yard. Tomorrow, we hope to go look at the Rose Parade floats. Even with all this, we haven’t been able to slow down Aaron yet!

W Fam Updates … Potty Training

From Missy … For the past few days Aaron has been wanting to sit on the potty when we get up in the morning – but nothing has transpired.  Today he did not sit on the potty when he got up though.  However when I said I needed to go to the potty, he raced ahead of me and got himself set up to use the big potty.  Then he sat down and actually went pee pee in the potty!!!   So, I think I got the potty training book just in time – now I just have to figure out how we’ll do it.  I am super excited for him!

Grandma is super excited for Mommy and Daddy!  In the beginning, the child is not usually trained.  It is usually the parents who are trained to take the child to the bathroom often enough to avoid accidents!  Hoping that works for you guys because life is so much easier when a child uses a potty rather than having to wear diapers.  Sounds like he might be ready for Pull Ups!!!

Missy came over to Houston for a quick visit and to attend Jake’s retirement party. It appears the children had great fun together!!!

In the midst of spring cleaning, Aaron helps Grandpa put together some Ikea Malm drawers! When he noticed Gpa hammering, he left the room to get his own little hammer. Upon his return, he started hammering on the drawers just like Gpa! TOO CUTE!!!

Aaron can sign as well. In the photo above he is signing “dog”. We are amazed at what a difference it makes communicating with him! We can’t understand most of what he says but we understand everything he signs!!!

Note the absolutely gorgeous weather!  For the record, I wore my first T-shirt of the year on Sunday, February 24th this year … in San Antonio.  I believe San Antonio tied their record high for the day at 91 degrees!  When do you suppose I will be wearing my first T-shirt next year once we become full time residents of Arkansas?!?
